How It Works

Four steps.
Zero effort.

Once you connect, pwrdby runs in the background — automatically, every time.

  1. 1

    Connect Spotify

pwrdby requests read-only access to your Spotify recently-played tracks. No playlists are modified. We only read what you listened to and when.

  2. 2

    Connect Strava

pwrdby registers a real-time webhook with Strava so it's notified the instant you finish an activity. We also request write access so we can update your activity description with the track list.

  3. 3

    Finish a workout

Go run, ride, hike — whatever you do. The moment you save your Strava activity, Strava pings pwrdby via webhook. pwrdby fetches your Spotify history for the activity's exact time window and matches tracks by timestamp.

For long activities (over 1 hour), pwrdby paginates through up to 250 recently-played tracks to ensure nothing is missed.
  4. 4

Your Strava activity gets your soundtrack

pwrdby appends a timestamped track list to your activity description — never overwriting what you've already written. You also get an AI-generated headline summarising your musical vibe.
